Invisa Hotel La Cala

The hotel was spotless, breakfast was wonderful and the location was just right. The staff were absolutely amazing, especially Juan and the bar team. I'd go back in a heartbeat. It suited my age group perfectly. We gave up trying to get a poolside bed, but that wasn't a big deal for us. The main beach is a five-minute walk away, and ferries go to lots of other beaches. A wonderful holiday.

The pool was a pleasant surprise, cool enough to refresh you but not cold, and there’s a separate shallow pool for children. The main pool reaches 1.7m, with a lifeguard around for most of the day. We’ve also enjoyed the food and drinks: plenty to choose from, including fresh fish cooked the way you want and meats, plus a different Sunday roast each day. Breakfast has the usual fruit, cheese and meats, along with pancakes, pastries, porridge, overnight oats and cooked options. Our room, 230, is spacious, clean and well kept, with a comfortable bed, a large TV with lots of UK channels, a big desk and loads of storage. The balcony looks out over the sea and hills, as well as neighboring flats, but the mirrored double doors give privacy. The bathroom has shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, and a powerful hairdryer. Towels are clean and soft enough, and changed whenever you need them. The staff have made us feel so welcome. Everyone, from housekeeping and the bar team to servers, chefs and management, has been kind and cheerful. When we returned from sunbathing, we found a lovely loyalty note, a small bottle of good fizz and two champagne glasses. We’ve also had emails saying repeat guests get free late checkout, so we’ll see if that happens on Saturday. My wife had stayed here before and loved it, so brought me this time. Check-in was easy, and the welcome was friendly from the moment we entered the lovely smelling lobby. There’s lemon water by the entrance, a nice touch after a long journey. We were first given two single beds pushed together with separate bedding. Reception arranged for the maid to remake it as a double, since most beds here aren’t doubles, and that worked perfectly. The gym is small, clean and air-conditioned. No free weights, unfortunately, though there’s a multi-gym, treadmill and bike. We liked the entertainment too, especially the talented piano player and the Irish singer, who gave us an almost private show even with a small audience. It’s a great spot, about a two-minute walk from the sea, with a Spar and other bars nearby. Half board is plenty, and the staff really add to the relaxed feeling. First visit for me, second for my wife, and hopefully not our last. Thanks to everyone at La Cala. I hope the whole team gets to see this.

We stayed for 10 nights and would happily come back. The hotel was spotless, and the location made it easy to get everywhere we needed.

Everyone was welcoming and the customer service was very good, from reception through the rest of the team, including the lady serving martinis and lemonade. Breakfast was excellent, too. Our room, 103, had a lovely balcony facing the pool, which was a great place to sit. On my husband's birthday Wednesday, they left a bottle of sparkling wine in our room. A really nice touch.
