Casa Eli

The house is a good base for exploring the island, halfway between Maspalomas and Las Palmas. It’s in a very quiet village, where you can enjoy the peaceful pace of local life and the friendly neighbors. The rental is a spacious, single-story house, despite Google listing it as a two-star hotel. There are three roomy bedrooms, a kitchen, a nice living room, a bathroom, and a large hallway with high ceilings. We had everything we needed. Eli was attentive and did a lot to make us feel at home. After a few days, she replaced the refrigerator with a bigger, newer one because she thought the original was too small. She brought us a mop, floor cleaner, and insecticide for the ants and cockroaches, lent us a cooler and a parasol for the beach, and even came to clean the house one day. The island winds soon wrecked the parasol, so we gave her another one. She also made beautiful bracelets and gave some to my wife and mother-in-law. People like Eli are rare. My wife, son, and I are so grateful, and I feel lucky to have met her. We’ll stay in touch, and I know she will too. Thanks, Eli. You’re a delight, and we had an unforgettable holiday. I do regret the misunderstanding about my cat scratching a door. Eli messaged us a few days after returning from her trip, and I found it strange since we watched him closely and shut all the doors whenever we went out. I’m sorry if this spoils a lovely friendship or means she won’t rent us the house again.

A really cozy house in just the right spot for exploring the island. Highly recommend it.
