La Escuela is a quirky, comfortable, well-equipped house in a stunning location, and everything else about it is 100% excellent. The one downside was the dogs at a nearby farm, barking loudly every morning, usually from around 5 am for 30 minutes or more. We asked the owners repeatedly, but they refused to do anything about it.

The views were incredible, and after the recent rain the ravine was green with water running through it. We explored it with our dog, which was easy since pets are welcome. The house was peaceful, had parking, and felt comfortable and well furnished, with everything we needed. Climbers will find lots of routes nearby, and there are several hiking trails too.
The terrace jacuzzi was a lovely extra, and we slept really well on the comfortable mattresses. The house was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully set up, so it quickly felt like home. We fell for it during our few days there. It's right in the La Sorrueda palm grove, close to the pre-Hispanic archaeological site of La Fortaleza and its museum. Roque Nublo and the island's central area are about 40 minutes away. Great for a restful break or for heading out around Gran Canaria. Thanks for everything, Chano!
