Can Barret in Can Picafort

The neighborhood is quiet, and there’s off-road parking. We liked having four terraces, two with tables and chairs, so we could move to the sunny side. The house matched its description and sleeps six easily. Upstairs are three rooms, with two bathrooms that have showers, plus a downstairs toilet. A few things took away a star for me. The house stays dark even with the shutters open, unlike the bright photos online. There’s a noticeable oil smell, though it wasn't bothersome to us and might affect some people. The oil furnace in the basement leaks a little. There was also a €300 security deposit and a long list of things that could lead to deductions. I understand paying for damaged linens, but €90 for not emptying the bins seems odd, especially since there were no garbage bags provided, or at least none during our stay. Without bags for different waste, how are guests meant to sort and dispose of rubbish regularly? It would also help to have olive oil, salt, pepper and paper towels in the kitchen. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but those little touches can make a guest really happy instead of just satisfied. I hope the staff considers these improvements.
