The evening shows were entertaining, and the sangria was excellent. The rooms were small but cozy, and the staff were friendly, although we didn’t get a smile at reception. The restaurant is small, but the food was tasty and varied. There were no slippers or microwave, the TVs were outdated, and the air conditioner was weak until it was fixed later. On our last day the power went out, so we couldn’t even charge our phones before our flight, and no compensation was offered. We came away with mixed feelings. For a future trip, I’d pick another hotel.

The pool was clean and the bar there was good, though a little pricey. Our waiter was lovely and joked around with everyone. Food choices were varied, and there’s a nice spa on the restaurant floor. The staff were great and very accommodating. The hotel itself is large, upscale-looking, and clean, while the room felt much like a Travelodge or IBIS. Our air conditioning stayed broken all week and only worked on the last day, which was rough in 37-degree heat. There are lots of clubs and bars nearby playing music until 1 or 2 a.m., so it may be hard to get quiet. The doors do a good job of keeping the noise out.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and tasted good, and dinner was even better. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the snack bar offered a range of snacks and drinks at very good prices. Staff were professional, quick, and kind, and the pool bar cafe had live themed music nights from 9:30 p.m. The hotel is in the city center, a five-minute walk from the Blue flag, Can Picafort beach and about 15 minutes from the start of Playa de Muro. The public 302 bus connects to Palma intermodal, which is also a 15-minute walk away. The facilities were great: two good elevators, an outdoor pool, a jacuzzi with free sunbeds and sunshade, and a spa with sauna, hamam, and an indoor pool with hydromassage. Our clean, functional room was 16 m2, with a 9 m2 bathroom and terrace and a side sea view. It was big enough for two and had what we needed.

The service was good, and I couldn’t fault that. Breakfast was fairly good and the pool itself was nice. The room was clean, except for bird poo on the balcony. There was also bird poo around the pool, on some sunbeds, and the area hadn’t been cleaned down.
