We picked this place as a base for seeing the area, including the waterfalls and Noia, Muros, Carnota and Esteiro. The staff were so warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was generous. Everything was clean, and I thought the COVID-19 precautions were good, with information, disinfection, distancing and masks in shared spaces. The pool was usually closed because distancing was hard to manage, but we got to use it one afternoon when nobody else was staying there. It was lovely, heated and looked out onto the garden. The room worked fine, though the pillow was higher than I like. There’s a hydromassage shower, remote-controlled Velux windows and mosquito repellent devices in every room. The TV felt small and didn’t have many channels.

We ate well here, with generous portions for both meals and dinner, home-cooked and made with local ingredients. The breakfast was plentiful too. It’s a quiet place away from crowded spots, with lots of interesting places nearby to explore. The staff were warm and treated us like we were at our grandmother’s house. We’d happily come back. Santiago was friendly and very helpful, and the hotel had plenty of useful facilities: a heated pool, sauna, hydromassage shower, and motorized windows and blinds in the rooms. It’s a little out of the way, but seems well suited to a stop during a road trip or a few days of hiking nearby. Breakfast was somewhat basic.

The indoor pool was wonderful, and the service was exceptional. Breakfast was very complete, and the food was exquisite. The house itself felt cozy, comfortable and clean, in a beautiful setting with lots of places to visit nearby.
