Hostal Nitzs Bcn

The room was spacious enough and having our own bathroom was a plus. We were on the 4th floor, though, and there was no lift, which was a hassle. Sound travelled so easily that every little noise seemed to be right beside us, making it hard to sleep. The room was also dark, with little natural light and not enough lamps to make up for it. The location was amazing, but the stay was just decent, with some real drawbacks.

The bed was comfortable and the location was great, but this was one of the worst hostels I've stayed in. The walls were so thin that I could hear normal conversations in the next room. There were only two toilets, both in the same space as the showers, and some mornings I had to wait more than 1 hour to use one. Someone stole my food from the fridge. There are many stairs up to the hostel and no elevator. That wasn't a problem for me, but could be difficult for people carrying heavy luggage. The place didn't seem fire-safe, reception had very limited hours, and it was very expensive for what you got.

The room was really clean, though the curtains could have been cleaner. Neighbours' coughs came through the thin walls, but it didn't bother me since it's a hostel. Other guests were respectful, so I could sleep at night. The service was wonderful, and they gave us a very friendly, clear introduction. Guests could use the kitchen, tea, fridge, and shared living area. I didn't use the kitchen or other things, but they were available. Thanks for a nice stay! :)

The location was brilliant and the accommodation was good. The only downsides were the stairs up to the room, that you couldn't cook in the kitchen, and that there was no airco. Apart from that, everything was perfect!
