Vent-I-Mar

We were a large group, and somehow everyone came away disappointed. I wouldn't recommend a single dish, and the waiters seemed to know the food was poor. Once they'd taken our order, they kept their distance, as if expecting complaints. They also wouldn't adjust the bill when they couldn't provide the full children's menu through their own fault. The meal was supposed to include a main, ice cream, and a drink, but they couldn't serve the dessert part. We still had to pay the full children's menu price. We went because the restaurant was conveniently located, but it was a complete waste of time and money.

The children's spareribs were the most tasteless I've ever had, with average barbecue sauce that I doubt was homemade. The bread at the start was dry, with no butter or dip. We should've left then, but the kids were hungry and not fussy. I would've told the staff how unhappy I was if they'd asked, but they never checked whether we enjoyed the meal. Even when I walked up to pay with food still on the table, nobody asked if everything was okay. They did ask if we wanted ice cream, though. Maybe they already knew what we thought, or wanted to spare us the need to say it or pretend otherwise. Sorry, you must be used to German or British tourists. I ordered spareribs and nuggets from the children's menu, and the only reason this gets two stars is I haven't had food poisoning. I'm writing this an hour after dinner, so that verdict is still pending.

Everything else came out cold and had to go back. The calamari were frozen, worse than ones I've had from the supermarket. The food is terrible, so don't bother, go somewhere else.

I was served paella with a long black hair in it. They took the plate away when I pointed it out, though I'd eaten less than half and they still charged me. When I said I wouldn't pay, two waiters came over and insisted the hair was a mussel. I asked to get the plate back so I could take a photo, but they returned the food in a box with the hair gone. It's kind of funny, but I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. We ended up paying for the dish. The Coke they brought us had no bubbles and tasted awful. I'm sure they swap regular Coke for some cheap substitute. This was the worst restaurant we could have gone to.
