The owner was super friendly, and one of the waiters gave us great recommendations. The food was the best quality in town, with amazing service. No idea why this restaurant in santa pau has anything under five stars. You’re missing out if you don’t go!

Dinner was spoiled by the owner/waiter’s rude behavior. He acted disrespectfully just because we skipped the starters, though he did apologize at the end. We had a bad experience. Avoid this restaurant.

The waiter was kind and kept checking in on us, and the food was amazing.

We stayed at the hotel and enjoyed a couple of lovely meals in the traditional Catalan restaurant, not the adjoining Italian one. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Portions varied but were all okay, with lots of duck, while the prawns made a nice lighter meal. Prices were reasonable. The semi-open-air seating near the courtyard was peaceful, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They explained the menu and gave us some good wine recommendations. Recommended!

The food was amazing, from five different starters and five mains, all perfectly done, to the delicious desserts. We hadn’t booked, but the charming, attentive, efficient staff found space for all five of us. Sitting on the terrace overlooking the small square was a lovely escape from the afternoon heat. A great new discovery on our travels in Spain, and I’d definitely go out of my way to visit again.
