The pool was nice, and the AC was already on when we arrived, which felt great after walking in 34°C heat. That was about the only thing that went right. The showers were ice cold every time we tried them, whether early in the morning, during siesta, or late at night. The doors to the kitchen, living room, and bathroom didn't close properly. The bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way, so we had to hang a towel over it for privacy. The pool lights didn't come on until about 12am, so before then you were swimming in the dark. There was a small toilet to the left behind the D apartments, but its door wouldn't close either, so someone could walk in. We had to run inside to use the restroom. It was also clogged for two nights straight with things I don't want to describe here. They were from two different people, and someone decided to use it anyway on top of the mess. There are two supermarkets fairly close, Lidl and Carrefour. Carrefour is larger, but getting there means a long walk and crossing a bridge, which is rough if you're not used to Spanish weather. Lidl is the better option. You just have to cross the roundabout on some very confusing pavements.

The apartment had plenty of space and was clean, as were the shared areas. It was a quiet complex, and the pool never felt crowded. The beach is about a 10-minute walk, with Lidl or Carrefour around 5 minutes away. It could use some fresh paint and updating, and the brittle sun loungers need replacing. Two actually snapped when we sat on them.

We really enjoyed having a modern, comfortable place to unwind close to the beach. The pool was great, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and being able to bring our pets was a big plus. I’d happily recommend SANTA SUSANNA Chic! Apartments. Booking through the official ALEGRIA Hotels website guarantees the best price.

The location wasn’t as close to the sea as I’d hoped, and it wasn’t a quiet place to rest. We could hear fast traffic from the highway right in front of the resort while using the pool, and the neighbours made a lot of noise. The water wasn’t dirty, but it smelled strongly of chemicals and felt oily. We also found a few cockroaches in the bathrooms. Our apartment looked good and was spacious, with clean sheets and was mostly clean. The tenant was really nice. It was a good experience overall, with those drawbacks.

Antonio, the caretaker, is lovely and helpful, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The beach is lovely too. We’ve stayed twice and already booked a third visit. The apartments are spacious, modern and clean, and the gated area feels secure. There’s lots to do nearby, and it’s a great place for families.
