We had four adults for four nights and enjoyed the stay enough that we’d all go back. The burgers at the snack bar were really, really nice, and dinner had a wide choice, with the tomato pasta especially good. Breakfast had a nice range, though the fry-up was very greasy and not up to much. We only went down for food twice. After arriving past 10, there was no food available, so we had to pay for pizzas. Ice cream costs extra even on all inclusive. The rooms were nice and spacious, and cleaners came every day with fresh towels. There was no hair dryer or kettle. The cleaners were noisy, shouting to each other along the corridors. We looked out over fields at the back, which wasn’t too bad. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly, but it could use some paint, a lift and a bit of modernising. The bars stay open until 11.30. We went to karaoke twice, but there was only one mic, so you can’t do a duet unless you share, and it really isn’t the best mic. The downstairs entertainment area wasn’t open, so they held it upstairs instead. There’s a free minibus outside every half hour that takes you right to the strip. There’s also a train that isn’t costly, but we didn’t use it. A supermarket is two minutes away, and you can walk to the strip in about 10 minutes.

The restaurant staff, mostly Filipino, were extremely helpful and polite, though the cleaning staff were less helpful. Our room was missed during cleaning, and we didn’t get fresh towels. You also have to pay the local tourist tax. The hotel is old and really needs modernising. Its reception wall says 3 star, but personally I’d say 2 at a push. The all inclusive deal has limits. The daytime snacks are supposedly mixed pork and beef, and I was offered crisps or a children’s ice pop. Ice cream costs 2 euros. If your flight or transfer gets in after 10pm, no food is available. We spent £28 at the local Burger King. The free minibus was a bit of a disaster since the timings were unpredictable, and most times we had to walk back from town. I’m sorry, but I wouldn’t go there again.

The food was good, basic but nothing wrong with it, and the location was fab. You can walk to the beach and shops or take a free transfer. The hotel was so clean, rooms included, and all the staff were friendly and great with the kids. We’d definitely return.

The hotel was very comfortable and relaxed while still feeling professional. I stayed for six nights with my partner on an all-inclusive deal, and honestly wished we’d stayed for two weeks. The food had impressive quality and variety, and the daytime snacks were great. I could get a free ice pop whenever I wanted. The rooms were immaculate and the shower was great. The staff were extremely helpful and considerate with all ages. We didn’t bring children, but I saw families having a very good time. There’s a beautiful pool and a fun little water park. The beach is a 10-minute walk, or you can take the free little minibus every 30 minutes during the day. The woman driving it was helpful and charismatic. There are also quite a few local shops for essentials and late-night snacks. Thanks for a brilliant holiday!

The pool is a good size, with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. Sometimes staff set up water polo goals, and we saw water aerobics twice. There’s a free shuttle to the beach and tourist stretch, roughly every half hour from 9 to 1, then 3 to 9. The hotel doesn’t provide beach towels, so bring your own or buy one at the supermarket three minutes away. The alcohol is good, locally sourced and generously poured, but you have to return your cup to get your drink tokens back. This is definitely not a resort. It’s a very outdated, poor excuse for a hotel, and I actually wanted to cry when I arrived. The rooms are tiny, with hardly any space to walk around the beds. There’s a dressing table, but it’s right by the foot of the beds, so you can’t sit at it. After a day the toilet stopped flushing. To be fair, the cleaning staff came quickly to fix it. We refused to use the blankets in the cupboard because they looked like they’d never seen a washing machine. The AC works well, and the balcony is a good size, but looks onto what seems to be a residential road. The buffet wristband comes with a deposit for tokens you exchange for drinks, and you have to return your cup to get the tokens back. It’s a very backward way to run all inclusive. The food was poor, with little fish, and the same dry fish was served for two meals running. The snack bar’s toasted cheese sandwiches kept my teenagers going, but we went out to eat because the food was awful. Music from a speaker is apparently the entertainment. It goes until 11, when the bar shuts, the pool table area is closed off and the cues are taken. That’s the only entertainment the hotel puts on. Aside from the pool, the free shuttle was the other good feature. I booked through on the beach, stupidly thinking it would be relatively OK. My boyfriend always berates me for looking at hotel reviews before booking, but sometimes you need to weigh the negatives against the positives. All in all, spend a bit more and go somewhere that’s what you want for your well-deserved summer holiday.
