Apartamentos Las Brisas

We were there for just one night and left early. The room was clean, though a few parts felt a bit run-down. Our room faced the road, so it stayed noisy late, with the feria in full swing adding to it. Reception and support staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The lobby is lovely, and the spot opposite the beach is hard to beat. We got there early, but after a phone call they kindly let us leave our bags until the room was ready. The room itself was nice, though the kitchen was short on equipment and we had to buy a kettle. The noise was the real problem. On two of our three nights, a group of Spanish students shouted and screamed and kept slamming doors late into the night. We complained, and the shouting eased a little, but the doors kept slamming.

The location is the one good thing about these apartments. I've stayed at Apartamentos Las Brisas for the past four or five years, but after this visit I won't be back. We booked five nights. The room smelled badly of smoke and damp, and the bathroom layout made getting to the toilet feel like an obstacle course. The sofa bed was filthy, and the kitchen extractor was hanging off the wall with birds nesting inside it. After three nights we gave up and stayed elsewhere. When we returned the next day, the room still hadn't been cleaned, the beds weren't made, there were no fresh towels, and the damp smell was worse. We put up with one more night, then checked out a day early and paid to stay somewhere else again. We only used three of our five booked nights. A waste of money.

The sea view was lovely, and the staff were really understanding. They got our little apartment ready quickly, and it was clean, quiet, and in good shape. The bathroom was clean too, worked perfectly, and looked great. I had a very good stay. If I come back to town, I know where I'll stay.
