A nice little hotel with a restaurant and bar area. The staff are really friendly, it’s in a quiet spot, and the price is good.

The restaurant and bar are separate from the hotel annexe, which sits on the outskirts of Santander. Handy for a ferry stopover. Don’t use the postcode in Google Maps to find it, enter the hotel name instead. I did that and ended up on a detour lasting over an hour.

The service was fantastic, and the restaurant is elegant, set in a beautiful building. I had a great Dorado and some of the best white fish I’ve eaten in years. Well done.

We were a little wary after reading complaints about noise from the restaurant next door, but it didn’t bother us at all. We actually had dinner there and loved it, so I’d recommend it too. The room was spacious, clean and had comfortable beds, though there was a faint sewage smell in the bathroom. It wasn’t too bad. Check-in by mobile was easy: they sent us the door code and everything went smoothly. There’s parking right outside, and the accommodation is about ten minutes from Santander. Great value, and we’d stay again if we’re back in the area.
