The hotel itself is beautiful, and we really enjoyed staying there, but the Kentia Bar team deserves a special mention. Every evening had a great atmosphere, and the bartenders were friendly, attentive, and cheerful. They made excellent drinks, and it was clear they enjoy their work and want guests to have a good time. A big thank you to Alfonso, Laura, Luis, and Mahmod. Their warm, professional, fun service made our holiday unforgettable. We’d love to return. Highly recommended!

This was our second visit, and we loved every minute. We can’t wait to come back. The beach is gorgeous and clean, and felt safe to swim at. This year there was a fruit man on the beach, plus deck chairs for rent. I saw someone raking and cleaning the beach every evening. There are cute hotel cats too. The MFC upgrade was well worth it for us, with a private pool and bar area, fun staff, and easy access to soft drinks and snacks. We also enjoyed the nicer breakfast area, where you can order from a menu as well as use the regular buffet. We had the AI upgrade too, which gave us a great range of alcohol and cocktails. We liked the Kentia pool bar snacks, especially the chicken wings. The buffet was varied and had something we liked every time. You can book the on-site restaurants too. Some dishes overlap with the buffet, but we enjoyed having a full Italian meal, the excellent meat at the grill, and the fun tasting menu restaurant. Our room had a lovely view over the cala from the balcony, and it was serviced every day. Staff often vacuumed the halls to keep the sand down. There were cozy dressing gowns, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, and hand cream. We had a hair dryer, and could request an iron. There were enough hangers and storage, plus a radio speaker, TV, safe, mini fridge, coffee maker, kettle, teabags, and coffee pods. USB chargers and sockets were by the bed. The bathroom lighting wasn’t ideal for makeup, but it did the job. With the MFC upgrade, water, soft drinks, beer, and wine were stocked in the room. The shower and tap water is salty, but I found it fine for my hair and skin, and not bad for brushing my teeth. The staff were very friendly and genuinely helpful, especially Camilla, Moi, and Mahmud. We enjoyed the evening entertainment, with some good bands and singers. We didn’t join the daytime activities, but yoga and aquarobics looked fun. There’s a gym with decent equipment for weights and calisthenics. We skipped the spa this time, though I remember it being small but enjoyable on our last visit. It’s about a 45-minute walk to Cala d'Or via the marina, an easy and lovely route past the restaurants and Mercadona. If you don’t fancy walking, the ting ting tourist train or the bus stop is right outside. The only downside is that some people put towels out before 7am. It would be good if staff moved towels left unattended for hours.

The beach is right on the doorstep, making it a fabulous spot for snorkelling and paddle boarding. There are friendly resort cats around too, and they made everyone smile. This was our second stay at AluaSoul, seven years after the first. The hotel has made some very positive changes, especially adding more a la carte restaurants and an app for booking them and other facilities. We booked two standard rooms for four adults. One had a special anniversary request, but we didn’t see any mention of it at the hotel. One room turned out to be a disabled room. That would have been fine if we hadn’t had the standard room to compare it with. Nobody in our group needed the accessible facilities, and the wet room had no counter space for suncream or makeup. We asked reception to switch it for another standard room. They were lovely and found us one, so the little hiccup was sorted. Staff at the buffet and a la carte restaurants were very friendly, especially Ross, whose Chimichurri recommendation was a hit. Sometimes we had to look for a table for four at the buffet since most were set up for couples, but we just pushed two tables together when needed. It wasn’t a problem. There was entertainment by the bar every night. Seating was limited when it got busy, and some people used sun loungers, but there was lots of dancing and a lovely atmosphere. The location at the island’s most beautiful bay is stunning, and we had a wonderful holiday here. The food was delicious and memorable, and the staff were always courteous and friendly. We especially enjoyed dinner at Marea, the hotel restaurant. The experience was excellent, and the staff were kind, quick, and very attentive. The rooms, particularly the bathrooms, could use refurbishment, though, and the area gets loud at night. We can still highly recommend the hotel.
