Parque Mar Apartments

It felt like a little oasis tucked away, with a lovely main pool and salt pool. The room was very clean and well equipped for two adults, a teenager, and two children. We stayed in Room 301, which had AC and, being on the ground floor, its own little garden. The location is great for restaurants, and the cove down the steps is amazing for jumping into the sea. I’d really recommend it.

The grounds are huge and beautifully maintained, with plenty of loungers you can move around to find some shade. You can get into the sea using ladders or by taking a daring jump, and there are lots of fish to see with a snorkel. The apartment was cosy and nicely equipped, with a few personal touches that made me think it might be privately owned and rented as a holiday let. It’s a peaceful, welcoming place in a stunning spot on the cliffs outside Cala D'Or. A real gem, and thanks for a lovely stay.

The peaceful location was beautiful, with a breathtaking sea view from the terrace. We also loved the saltwater pool and relaxation area, and the reception staff were always friendly and helpful. Sadly, bugs in the apartment kept us from relaxing. We found a cockroach in the bathroom on the first night, then another on the terrace table the next evening. Later we spotted about 10 small bugs, some alive and some dead, near the bed, even though we’d asked for extra cleaning and pest control. Reception kindly offered us another apartment, but we found a cockroach there too. We ended up sleeping on the couch because we weren’t comfortable using the bed. We understand cockroaches can be common in Spain, and the staff did their best to help. Still, seeing three cockroaches and bugs by the bed was too much. Without that problem, this would have been a perfect holiday spot, and we’d love to return.

We only lasted one night. It was a nightmare, and the room was in an unacceptable state with serious health and safety risks for me and my children. We were given a ground floor room with old furniture, a strong damp and mold smell, no air conditioning, and a cockroach infestation. Ants and small insects were there from the moment we walked in. When we asked to move, we were told it would cost an extra €40. After 10 PM, dozens of large kitchen cockroaches started appearing all over the room, on the walls, curtains, kitchen furniture, and around the beds and sofa. The children were terrified and couldn’t sleep, and neither could we. It was distressing and unhygienic. We took several photos and videos showing the infestation and the poor condition of the room. These conditions are unacceptable and don’t meet basic hygiene standards. I strongly believe spanish authorities should urgently inspect the hotel, sanitize it thoroughly, and possibly close it until proper hygiene measures are in place!!!
