The price and being only 250 meters from the nearest beach are the hostel's best points. The rooms feel dated, and without ventilation we had to leave the windows open for fresh air, which meant noise from cars and partying neighbors. The ceiling fan barely worked, so at the end of August we ended up buying a fan ourselves to keep from overheating.

The owners are lovely, and I'd happily stay again. It's close to everything, and I've stayed in hotels that were worse. The room is very basic, just a bed, wardrobe, table and chair. There's no fridge or air conditioning, though there is a ceiling fan. Breakfast is served late, from 9-10am.

The open bar is a real plus, running from 10 am to 12 am, with good, inexpensive Sangria and cocktails. Don Pepe makes them especially well. The bar and music are all Spanish, which gives the place a great mood. The hostel itself is simple but has what you need, apart from a fridge, which I didn't really miss. It's also close to the center of Cala D'or, with the beach, shops and bars nearby.

The bar was nice, and the older man made good cocktails. This is a very basic hostal, just a bed, wardrobe and bathroom, with the ceiling fan costing 5 euro extra. The room rate doesn't include tax, so that has to be paid separately. I missed having a fridge, and breakfast was limited to ham, cheese, fruit and bread, with no vegetables. It's about a 10-minute walk from the beach. Nothing was really wrong with the stay, but the missing fridge was the main drawback.

La Ceiba was spotlessly clean and in a perfect spot for the marina, restaurants and beaches. Nati was a fabulous host, with dedicated support from her team, including Pepe. The breakfast was good too. Love to everyone there from Sharon, Tracee and of course Zachary ❤️
