It’s about a 40-minute walk to the center of Santiago de Compostela. The studio is fairly basic, and the price wasn’t cheap because it was a Xacobeo (Jubilee) year on the St. James pilgrimage route. The mattress was the main problem: it sloped toward the middle, so we had to try to sleep near the edges. We’re only average-weight people, and the mattress cover needed washing. The rest of the apartment was okay, though not great.

The beds are a bit stiff, but parking was easy and it was quiet, right around the corner from our friends. It’s near the local centro comercial and other places of interest. The Cathedral in Santiago is a quick, easy drive away, or a longer walk that’s still doable. The location worked well for us.

It’s noisy, and I felt like I was staying in a university dorm. The city center is far away. Reception is just a desk and a sofa that needs to be thrown out, and it doesn’t open until 4pm, so arriving early leaves you out of luck.

The apartment was filthy, a few things didn’t work, and they charge a ridiculous amount for one night. The bed was the worst I’ve ever tried to sleep on. What a shame for my last days here in Spain, so the owner can 🖕🏻.
