The breakfast was varied and high quality, the Nespresso capsule coffee was delicious, and the bed was comfortable. There’s a bus stop nearby and a large dinner menu. I recommend the octopus with Alhambra beer. The room needs repairs, and I found someone else’s socks in the closet. The safe didn’t work, though they fixed it after I contacted reception. Street noise came through the windows. For a hotel that presents itself as business-focused, our twin room had no proper desk and chair, and there wasn’t even a coffee machine or kettle with tea. It’s not the worst option for a work trip, but if you’re visiting Madrid for fun, you can find better and cheaper places.

The price was excessive, even though everything else seemed fine. The restaurant was low-key, with a limited selection, but the food was good.

Be warned, the hotel gave very poor recognition of Marriott Bonvoy elite status. At check-in there was no acknowledgment, and they offered neither a choice of welcome amenity nor points. When I complained to Marriott Corporate, the front desk lied to cover it up.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. It was my worst hotel experience in Madrid. The staff were so rude, including at the restaurant. There was no coffee at breakfast because their machine was broken. Even if you asked and insisted, you could barely get a small one. The hotel isn’t near downtown, and there isn’t a decent restaurant nearby. There’s no coffee or tea in the room either. This place doesn’t even feel like a two-star hotel.

The rooms are spacious, nice, and well maintained, and the lobby has good spots to sit and work. Bar staff are very friendly, and the restaurant is really good. It’s a solid business hotel if you’re going to trade shows in the area. There isn’t much nearby, though, so you’ll need to head downtown.
