Dream in Santiago

After a very long Camino day, I arrived exhausted and immediately regretted booking somewhere so far from downtown. The kitchen, bathroom, and lobby were dirty, there was a bad smell inside from the shoes, and the bed sheets smelled bad too. Too many people shared the bathroom. Noise made it impossible to sleep, and the staff didn’t seem to care. I’d expected somewhere friendly and comfortable, but it felt unpleasant and unsafe. I couldn’t wait to leave.

The staff and owner were so kind and put a lot of effort into keeping the place clean. There were blankets, clean bathrooms, and a lovely outdoor space. After the Camino, it was a great place to rest and relax for a few days. Places like this were lovely to find along the Camino. It’s a bit far from the center, but everything else made up for that. I’d definitely stay again!

It’s a little far from the center, though closer to the airport. The staff were friendly, the bathroom was clean, and even though the room was small, everyone had a big locker. There was no toilet paper in the bathrooms that night.

The staff are fantastic, and the place is great. It’s just after you enter Santiago town, about a 10-minute walk to the cathedral, though there are closer places. There’s a 🚌 bus stop outside for the airport, and it costs 1 euro. Well done to whoever’s in charge of the transport service.
