When I arrived, my bed and wardrobe were dirty, and the hair dryer was broken. I sent photos in messages and emails, but they just said it was impossible to send someone to help. Other guests mentioned similar problems getting a PIN and finding their rooms. There’s no reception, and all communication is by email. That can work, but it’s not ideal for foreigners who may need extra support, especially since the suggested contact is a Spanish phone number that can be difficult to use while traveling. This could be improved. The note about dinner on the table made no sense to me. I’d arrived just two minutes earlier and was completely confused by the reply. Also, guests can check in at any time, so three people arrived very noisily at midnight. I thought that was weird.

Please avoid this place. Four of us had been walking the Camino for weeks, and they ruined our plans by canceling a reservation we’d made six weeks ahead, the day before we were due in Santiago. It was over a small digit error on the card. I emailed new card details the day before, but they didn’t deal with the booking and were very unhelpful. It left a terrible impression of Spain and Spanish people. Avoid, avoid.

It was cheap and quiet, but there was no toilet paper in the downstairs bathroom. Someone who seemed to be homeless was in the kitchen sorting through belongings and cigarettes. There’s no staff on site to answer questions. I’d received the check-in and bag drop information, but when I raised these problems, my messages were read and ignored. With no staff around, the food and cleanliness rules didn’t seem to be followed closely either. The person in the bunk below me ate chips loudly in the room through the night.

I managed to check in late at night using their instructions, but the bedding was awful. The duvet smelled really bad, and there was no cover or even a sheet between me and the duvet. My neighbor below didn’t have a cover either. The duvet smelled like someone had been living on the street for three months. There was a mattress sheet, so I spent the whole cold night in my clothes. I emailed them and got no reply. Even the email address for “claims” doesn’t work, direccion@... Very disappointed.

The room and bathroom were clean, but the duvets had no covers and clearly hadn’t been washed properly. The bed lockers also didn’t work and were VERY dirty.
