I paid the owner €15 in cash for my one-night stay last November. A week after checking out, though, CASA LACOBUS charged €45 to the card I had used to book through Agoda. The owner called it a mistake and said the booking site had sent him my card details, but wouldn't explain how it happened or why the amount was €45 when my stay had cost €15. He accused me of distrusting and insulting him, then promised a refund that never came. Agoda eventually refunded me after I sent them the evidence and correspondence. They said the owner admitted making the false charge and had also promised to refund it. I never got an apology at any point. I would give this place zero stars if I could.

Right in the city center and close to the bus station. The rooms come with two or four beds, and the bathroom is well equipped. Best choice.

The location is hard to beat: the cathedral is visible from the street, and the place is on a main road lined with shops and restaurants. It’s reasonably priced, too. Inside, it’s cozy and lovely, just like the photos, and the mattresses and pillows are very comfortable. The only drawback is sharing a bathroom with another room, though we didn’t really hear the other guests.

We ended up leaving the guesthouse at 1:00 AM because we couldn’t spend the night there. An hour after going to sleep, I woke up covered in fleas and ticks. They were on the sofa bed, where two of our group of four were sleeping, and one of the regular beds was infested too. We knew two of us would be using the sofa bed, but had no idea about the bugs. Finding somewhere else to stay at that hour was a real hassle. This was our experience on September 23rd. The place is right in the center, and I hope it’s been cleaned so nobody else has to go through this. I’m still dealing with all the bites.

We paid €80 a night for a roomy, nice place right in the center. The bathroom was private and right beside the room. Noise from outside was a problem, and the shower gel dispenser was empty.
