Santo Grial

The terrace room was such a treat, and we spent a lot of time enjoying it. We stayed for two nights and felt completely at home. The hotel is quiet because it sits off the main street, while still being close to everything. The towels and sheets were immaculate, and the whole place was spotless. We also appreciated the minibar. It isn't a modern hotel, but that suits its style. I'd definitely recommend it.

They let us check in early since our room was ready, which was a big help after arriving tired with our bags. The person at reception was really friendly, gave us a map, and pointed out places to visit and eat. The room was roomy and had Wi-Fi, a TV, and a fridge, though ours had no air conditioning. There's no elevator, but we understood given the age of the buildings. The location is excellent, about a block from Alameda Park, where you can catch taxis and buses. That's useful because public transport doesn't go along many streets in the historic center. We loved Santiago de Compostela and wished we could stay another night, but they were fully booked.

The main drawback was the noise from the street. We didn't get as much rest as we'd hoped, so the location has a downside despite being so convenient. The accommodation is close to restaurants, shops, entertainment, and just steps from the Cathedral. Our first-floor room and bathroom were both very spacious, and everything was clean and tidy. The staff were attentive and very friendly. The decor felt somewhat rustic, and the room was dark. It had a large window facing the street, but we needed the curtains closed for privacy, which cut down on the natural light.

The rooms are very large, and the cathedral is close by. The place feels a bit old-fashioned. There's no staff available to help in person, just a key handed over; if something goes wrong, you have to call.
