The room was spotless and had everything we needed. We were in a separate block up the hill, but got lucky with a huge private patio, complete with loungers, a table, chairs and a parasol, looking out towards Gigantes and the sea. We didn't have housekeeping during the week. We never asked about it, so maybe there was a system, though we didn't notice one. The reception has a good selection of books, and the free shower and towel facilities came in handy with our flight not leaving until 11.35pm. If you're with young children or have limited mobility, staying lower down near the pool, bars and reception would probably be easier. The staff speak very good English.

I told the staff I had mobility issues, but was still given a room in phase 2. Getting there meant tackling a very steep hill or nearly 100 steps, and I struggled with both. The room was too far from the pool, wasn't cleaned properly, and the sheets were changed only once during my two-week stay. The balcony was poor, with no view and no sunshine. I wouldn't stay here again.

There are lots of coastal walks nearby, and the bus station is just 100 metres away. With a bus card, you can get around anywhere. The place has a sea view, plus a jacuzzi, pool bar and restaurant. A great spot for a holiday.

We often pop into the bar for a drink or snack. It's got a lovely view and a really good atmosphere. We haven't stayed at the hotel, so I can't say anything about the rooms.

We had a great time at the pool, which is over 2 m deep and has lots of public inflatables. The pool and bar views are stunning, and every staff member we met was amazing. Our room was tidy and came with a few things like milk and juice, though I wish there had been aircon. You can rent a unit for the week, but I hadn't realized that. Harbour club 1 has one- and two-bedroom rooms right by the pool and bar. Harbour club 2 has much nicer rooms and a far bigger terrace with exceptional views, but the walk up there is a lot, especially after a few drinks. I'd definitely recommend Harbour club overall.
