Hotel Bestprice Santillana

For what I paid, I expected a bit more, even taking into account that this is a two-star hotel. The location is excellent, and the rooms have a modern look with nice decor, good towels, and good sheets. They are small, though. I was on my own and didn’t mind, but my parents found their room cramped. The modern bathroom also had very little space for personal things. The biggest issue for me was the noise. There isn’t much sound insulation, so I could hear other guests, their phones, doors opening, people coming into the hotel, and the breakfast activity. My room’s air conditioning didn’t work. It wasn’t hot, but I wanted to use it to dehumidify the room, and that didn’t work either. Check-in is through a machine. It’s an unusual idea, but easy enough to use, and reception communicates through WhatsApp. Breakfast was very basic and may not suit everyone. I wanted yogurt, which they didn’t have. They offered ham, tortilla, toast, croissants, madelanas, and juice. The breakfast staff were nice.

The hotel is right in the heart of Santillana del Mar, with the scenic streets just a short walk away. The traditional Cantabrian breakfast was a treat, with regional items including sobaos. I stayed at this brand-new place and it surpassed what I expected. The rooms were stylish and modern, very clean, and had air conditioning that worked perfectly, keeping things cool and comfortable.

Breakfast was included, and the new hotel has charming bedrooms with air conditioning. Our room looked out over a lovely mountain and field view. We’d definitely come back, and I really recommend it.
