We were so tired that we stayed, but if we’d had the energy we would have gone somewhere else. We were out by 5am. After midnight, the owner texted asking us to leave by 11am. The place was dreadful, and I can’t see how it would be safe for children. We spent one night, 13/02/25, in apartment 3, and that was quite enough. It smelled unpleasant when we arrived. In the kitchen the draining board was mouldy, the tap was loose, and there was mould and cracking on the ceiling and walls. The radiator didn’t work, there weren’t enough pans, and there was no kettle. The coffee machine had no discs, so it was unusable. One kitchen cupboard was hanging on a single hinge, and the room felt unhygienic. The living room had only a very bright ceiling light and one dim wall light working. Neither of the two lamps worked, and the one beside the TV had left a burn mark on the unit. The TV itself was fine. In the bedroom, the overhead light wiring looked dangerous, patched together with wiring blocks. My husband is an electrician and told me not to touch it. The second bedroom had mould on the ceiling and walls. There was also a bad smell in the bathroom, and the balconies were black with mould.

The location is the one decent thing about this place. The kitchen was dirty and sticky, and the toilet leaked water into the entrance area. Water damage had also left the entrance door barely able to open. Booking here is not something I’d recommend. It’s a real disgrace.

We booked three nights but left after the first because the place was so awful. The plumbing was completely blocked, and sewage came up through the drains and overflowed into the bathtub. The bed was broken, the apartment was filthy, and the tiles were broken too. Nobody took responsibility. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Cleaning and maintenance seem inconsistent. The whole building needs general upkeep, with cracks and damp that need cosmetic repairs. I may have been lucky with apartment 2B, since it wasn’t in terrible shape, but there were still cracks that stopped the bathroom door from closing and several damaged tiles that hadn’t even been covered up.

The apartment itself was disappointing: old-looking furniture and fittings, poor cleanliness, an unpleasant smell, and very uncomfortable beds. It didn’t live up to what I’d expect from this kind of accommodation, and I wouldn’t recommend it. We were also let down by the service. The day before, we were told we could check in one or two hours before the official time, but when we arrived we had to wait outside until 3:00 PM. That was very inconvenient after our journey.
