Alojamiento Miramar is very basic, with shared bathrooms that were clean. There was no one at reception, and the nearby music venue was a problem: the music outside was so loud that we couldn’t sleep until it stopped.

The room, location, service, and breakfast were all very good. One downside: the fish factory siren starts at 6:30 AM and sounds every 15 minutes.

For pilgrims looking for a private room at a very reasonable price, Alojamiento La Ballena is a great fit. It’s a small pension in Santoña, near the town centre, restaurants, and a laundromat. The rooms are clean, and there’s a pleasant common room with tea and coffee, plenty of information leaflets, and a passport stamp for pilgrims. The hosts communicate well and are very helpful. I’d highly recommend it.
