I’d love to come back and hear more of Jose Luis’s stories. He’s a hospitalero who’s been a pilgrim himself, so he really understands. He was incredibly busy, but still so kind and attentive while we stayed. The house has loads of character, with modern renovations too. The plants on the way up to the third-floor clothes-drying area were beautiful, and the clean sheets, towels, shower gel, and shampoo were much appreciated. Thank you so much, we hope to stay again soon.

The bathroom was rough, with mold in every corner of the shower, hair on the floor, and a mop and bucket holding dirty water in the corner. As far as we could tell, we were the first guests that day, so this was after cleaning. Our room had a dirty floor and cobwebs all over the windows, though the sheets were clean. We never met the host. A man from the restaurant across the lane handed us the keys and pointed upstairs, without a greeting or instructions. He couldn't tell us about the Wi-Fi or kitchen. We texted and emailed the host about the Wi-Fi, kitchen, terrace, and laundry mentioned on the website. He emailed the Wi-Fi password at 10 p.m., when we were already asleep, and didn't answer the other questions. The doors were locked, and we never found the kitchen, terrace, or laundry area. The stamp was just a regular ink pad left on the counter, so I'm not sure what was supposed to be special about it. Maybe this place was lively once, but it felt dark and creepy to us.

The decor is really nice, but the place feels very old-fashioned. It's right in the center, which also means a lot of noise from the bars outside. You can hear quite a bit through the walls from the next room, too.

The rooms were clean and roomy, and the host was friendly and had things well organized. It's in a perfect spot for a Camino stop.

A lovely spot in Sarria. Thanks for looking after us and helping out.
