The bathroom was cleaner than we expected, but the room was cold and the heater didn't work. It was an interior room looking onto the building hall, although it wasn't supposed to be, so ventilation was poor and there was a moldy smell. The towels and curtains were old and dirty. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. There are better options in Madrid at the same price.

For a tourist on a budget, this is a very good option. It cost me less than 30$ US per night. The rooms were small, but the bed was comfortable, the wi-fi worked great, and it was quiet. The location was excellent, about a 2 minute walk to Puerta De Sol, the middle of downtown Madrid, with lots of stores, bars and restaurants nearby. It's right by a store with a yellow sign with black letters. The female manager was nice and spoke decent English. The place is on the 3rd floor with no elevator, and there's only 1 shared bathroom on the floor, so I sometimes had to wait. I had a good experience and would stay again if I go back to Madrid.

The location is excellent and the accommodation isn't very expensive. The problem was the shower water temperature. Very often it was freezing cold.
