Matias Rooms

The room itself was okay for the price, and the location was convenient, right by the Camino and near the historic area. But the beds felt old, like sleeping on springs, and the thin walls let in noise late at night, early in the morning, and whenever someone used the shared bathroom. At first we couldn't get into the building, and our confirmation gave no instructions. Someone came about five minutes after we finally reached them through the phone number on their website, but they only handed us a key and pointed upstairs. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I found pension Matias rooms, but was taken to apto Rua Maior, which has many negative reviews. It seems the owner has 2 hostels, and the pictures were from the other hostel. The bedsheets weren't clean, the main light and lamp were broken, the door wouldn't lock, and the place wasn't very clean. The heating didn't work either, even though it was cold and rainy when I arrived. Avoid.

The rooms were clean and okay for the price, though a little noisy. The location beside el camino was good, but the service was terrible. Nobody was there, and the owner never replied when I messaged her on WhatsApp. For customer service, I'd give negative stars.

For a very good price, I had a clean bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living space of my own. This was the best place I've stayed so far on nu Camino, and an excellent place to stop in Sarria.
