The room was clean and tidy, and the shower was nice, but there was no staff at all. When you arrive at the door, you have to guess that you should call the number on the sign. That's a problem for a tired pilgrim without a phone, or anyone who speaks neither Spanish nor English. You need several codes to enter the hotel and then your room, and there was no information inside the room. The heating was controlled externally, so we couldn't turn it on or adjust it, and staff were very slow to respond to our questions. Avoid.

There are some drawbacks, but it's in a good location. Coming back from the center means walking uphill, which is typical in Galicia. At first glance the place seems old, though the room itself was simple but fine for a pilgrim. The main issue was having no staff on site. A woman handling questions on WhatsApp made excuses when I asked for my pilgrim accreditation and tried to get me to collect it. She gave me a time for handing it over, but her colleague arrived later. What if I hadn't been able to wait? That lack of professionalism made the place feel somewhat insecure. It's adequate for a pilgrim's overnight stay, but customer service needs work.

We didn't see any hostel staff during our stay, and there was no receptionist, but they kept in touch with us by phone the whole time. The entrance could be signposted better; inside, it was really nice. The rooms had everything we needed, were fully equipped, and were clean. The hostel is well located in the small town, close to shops and places of interest. It's a great place, and dogs are allowed.

The location is perfect, right by the way out of Sarria, and the room was spacious and nice. Everything is automated, which is convenient. Shame there was no fan or clothesline.

We stayed August 3-4 at the start of our trip. The rooms were spacious and really clean, and the quaint little reception area stood out. They handled communication on WhatsApp and got back to us whenever we needed them.
