The breakfast comes with a lovely view across the landscape, with the sea visible in the distance. Our room was spacious and modern, and had its own terrace, plus easy access to the pool and shared areas. A peaceful spot in the Málaga mountains. I’d book the jacuzzi around sunset too.

Manon and Rick made us feel welcome right away, even arranging a pickup in Sedella and greeting us with wine. They hosted a delicious dinner and breakfast, and were warm and accommodating throughout. The newly renovated B&B Lagabella is beautifully decorated and genuinely comfortable. I slept better here than anywhere else during our month in Spain. It’s also well placed for hikes and nearby towns. We had the BEST stay.

I only stayed one night while passing through, but Lagabella would be a lovely place to spend a few days enjoying the garden, the hill and distant sea views, or the seasonal outdoor pool. There’s a tasty dinner available and a bar, both cash only. The room was quiet, very comfortable, and carefully thought out. Manon and Rick were friendly and happy to chat with guests, while still giving them space. The B&B is handy for El Saltillo, the Andalucian Coast to Coast, GR249, and La Maroma for those up for a challenge. When I visited, pickup from Sedella or Canillas de Aceituno was available for guests without a car.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived, thanks to Manon and Rick’s hospitality. Their dinner was lovely, and the conversation made it even better. A great place to slow down, enjoy the nature around Andalucía, and get away from the usual tourist route. We really enjoyed our stay.

The setting is beautiful, and breakfast was great. Lagabella is a handy base for hikers heading to La Maroma or El Saltillo. Canillas, with its lively bars and restaurants, is only a 5-10 minute drive away. Manon and Rick are a lovely couple who made us feel especially welcome. We had a wonderful stay and can’t recommend it enough.
