We could walk to Plaza Mayor, bars, and restaurants in just a few minutes, and the staff helped us arrange a trip to La Granja Palace with real care and confidence. The café was comfortable, with good food and drinks at reasonable prices and friendly service. We had breakfast there once: lots of fresh choices, an egg menu, and a perfect omelette. The team was young and energetic, very professional, and welcoming every day. Our suite looked out over the Eresma River valley, and the views were wonderful. We watched birds of prey and martins fly past, saw the snow-covered mountains, and on Christmas Eve watched snow falling with the lights twinkling in the new town. The room was much more than we expected, with a huge, comfortable bed, quality linens, plenty of storage for our six-night stay, and such a quiet atmosphere that we slept well every night. There was a pillow menu, soft robes and slippers, a clothes steamer, yoga mat, a good-sized safe, a well-stocked minibar, complimentary water, separate heating, and window seats. The bathroom had both a walk-in shower and a bath, lovely towels, and plenty of complimentary toiletries. Housekeeping was immaculate every day. We loved every moment of our Christmas stay. The breakfast was decent, though for a five-star hotel I expected more variety. My room was a good size, clean, and quiet, with a view I really liked. Mornings there felt peaceful and relaxing. It's also well located, just a few minutes from the center and the Alcazar.

The room was lovely, with a pleasant view of the hills beyond the city, and we had a nice stay in Segovia. Aurea Convento Capuchinos is well placed for walking to the Cathedral, Alcazar, restaurants, shops, and more. Just bring phone chargers with plugs, since there aren't any USB ports.

For a small city, finding such a polished, peaceful place was a real surprise. The hotel is in a handy spot near the center and the famous Aqueduct of Segovia, so exploring on foot is easy. It’s a spectacular hotel, and the staff were exceptionally kind and spoke English.
