Hotel Rural Puente del Duraton

We only stopped in for lunch, so I can't speak to the hotel itself. The food was really tasty and the staff were warm and friendly. I'd recommend it if you're looking to try traditional dishes.

We were four friends, two couples, and stayed one night. The owner was so welcoming and helpful, with good suggestions for nearby walks and places to see. Ermita de San Frutos is a must, and he also pointed us toward routes in the National Park. The rooms were cosy, warm, and incredibly clean. There isn't much of a view, and the hotel is close to the road, with little else around. We ate at the hotel restaurant since eating out in Sepúlveda didn't seem cheap. It had a good choice of daily menu dishes and rations, and they were understanding about making vegan meals for me. The area is known for lamb, so my requests raised a few eyebrows, but they were happy to accommodate me. The owner gave us complimentary shots after both lunch and dinner. I'm not usually keen on them, but I tried them and enjoyed the experience. Great service, and a lovely stay.

The room felt a little small, though the place was clean and had private parking. It's on the edge of town and very quiet, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast was continental, with toast, cake, homemade jams, grated tomato, and fresh orange juice. The chard jam was a pleasant surprise and really good. There's also a nice terrace outside. Just keep in mind that the restaurant is closed, so you can't eat there.
