We liked a lot about the stay, but the way reception handled a small charge really soured it. We asked for two more bottles of water on the second day, after the two in the fridge were gone. Nobody mentioned a price when we called, even though complimentary water each day seems customary, especially since the tap water is salty and heavily mineralized. Boiling it for tea only made it saltier. The person on the phone was abrasive and hung up mid-call, though the waters were brought quickly. We were charged €6 overnight, plus the tourism tax. We raised it at checkout and got an apology, but no fix. We don’t care about the €6, but if we’d known, we would have bought our own water. Refusing even a small refund because we’d already drunk it felt ridiculous and dismissive, especially after the receptionist wouldn’t correct their mistake. The rest of the property was great: lovely rooms, setting and pool, plus free parking in a secure, shaded gated lot. We enjoyed our loft and its balcony overlooking the church, and the outdoor area is stunning.

The setting was so peaceful, with gorgeous grounds and a stunning pool where we could read, swim and relax. Ses Salines is a sleepy little town, close to Santanyi and lots of good beaches. We came for our honeymoon and our first visit to Mallorca, and loved how quiet it was. I didn’t see any children, which we liked. Our terrace room upgrade was lovely for morning coffee and books, and the welcome glass of cava by the pool the next morning was a treat after our late arrival. Check-in and checkout were smooth. There’s secure, shaded parking behind the hotel, and if it fills up at night, street parking right behind is easy to find. The lobby and nearby seating areas feel cozy and beautiful, and listening to raindrops fall through the trees on our drizzly first night was magical. There were happy birds among the flower and fruit trees too. Breakfast was solid, if nothing out of the ordinary, and it was nice to sit back and enjoy the calm. Of the places we stayed in Mallorca, Hotel Ca'n Bonico had the best room amenities: vanity sets, a shower cap, bamboo toothbrushes and comb, toothpaste, good shower pressure, plenty of closet space, robes and a towel heater. We loved it so much that leaving was hard.

I’m a tourist from Singapore 🇸🇬, and I don’t recommend this hotel. I tried calling internationally, but nobody answered. I have a service dog for my hearing disability, and they wouldn’t tell me whether service dogs are allowed. It reflects poorly on Mallorca’s service standards.

The grounds are beautiful, and the pool is a delight to come back to after a day visiting calas. I’d recommend the hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, though very basic and in need of some personality, maybe art or a lamp. Check-in and service were a little lacking. I called for an iron and had to go collect it myself, and they didn’t accommodate a late checkout.
