We don’t usually stay in hotels, but for a last-minute trip we wanted somewhere quiet, relaxing, and convenient, and this fit the bill. The pool was a lovely extra, with great views over the marina. Staff were attentive, breakfast was great, and the beach, restaurants, and supermarkets were close by. The restaurant’s vegetarian tumbet was fantastic!

We’ve stayed at Honucai a few times over the past several years and my kids are already looking forward to coming back next year. It’s very close to the beach, with clean, cozy rooms and a great breakfast buffet each morning. Reception staff are so welcoming, and nothing felt like too much to ask.

Right by the water, Hotel Honucai has a fantastic location. Staff were super friendly, breakfast was great each morning, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooftop bar is a must. We’d definitely stay again!

The rooftop loungers were really comfortable, and the view from up there was spectacular. On the days I used it, though, staff didn’t show up until after 11, so I couldn’t put up a parasol. They need to provide a special bar to hold it, and there was no one around to help. Luckily a woman from the cleaning team helped me, but I watched other guests arrive and leave without assistance. The hotel’s location is amazing, with a wonderful sea view, friendly staff, and an efficient check-in. Breakfast is a relaxed way to start the day, watching the promenade. It can be repetitive, but there’s a decent choice. Our room was a bit small but had enough space. We were near the stairs and lift, so noise carried easily; bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. There was welcome water, but it wasn’t replenished. I was disappointed there was tea but no coffee-making setup in our room. Staff said coffee was only provided in more expensive rooms, which seems silly for a 4-star hotel, regardless of room type. I also wish the bathroom had more useful towel hooks, since the ones inside the shower don’t work well. Toiletries were provided, but used drinking glasses and the amenity kit weren’t replaced during our stay. We didn’t ask for replacements, either. There are plenty of restaurants close by and several beaches a short stroll away. At the local beaches, two loungers cost 14 euros.
