We were glad to have the garden tables for meals, and the shared lounge with board games was a nice place to unwind after hiking. The hotel is right by the Park of Montseny, with clean, roomy rooms and fresh air. Check-in and checkout were easy. For a better view, ask for a mountain-facing room rather than one overlooking the garden. Our room had a comfortable bed, TV, bathtub, clean bathroom, effective heating, and hot water that worked well. There’s also an American kitchen with a shared fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and tea. Bring your own coffee capsules and kitchen items like plates, cutlery, and cups, as none are provided. There’s a restaurant next door serving local food, but it only opens in high season. In low season, food shopping or eating out may mean going to nearby towns. Seva itself has two bars and one restaurant, all with limited menus. One thing to watch: lock the door. Housekeeping opened ours despite our “Do Not Disturb” sign. My wife and I were only watching TV, but it could have been a much more private moment.

The staff are really helpful, but the place is very basic and pretty remote. It could suit backpackers or people heading to the park. Getting a taxi or finding food and drinks after 5 can be difficult.
