Pensión Gran Plaza

The receptionists were kind and helpful, and I'm happy with my choice. If the phone doesn't ring, it's probably because they're on another call, so try again or call later. I nearly missed the place at first because nearby buildings have almost the same name. For the best price, I got a single room with a desk and a sink for brushing my teeth and washing my hands. The bed was comfy and big enough, but the AC wasn't working. I could also hear some really loud older people in the building at different hours while I was trying to sleep.

There are plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby, and the place is on a large roundabout by the tube station, though just outside the old Town. You go up from street level to reach reception. The room was small and had no bath, but that was expected in the city centre for the price. The wardrobe was nice, although it had just one coat hanger. The TV didn't work, probably because its batteries were dead. Location was okay, and the stay was okay overall.

The shower was lovely, and everything looked clean and well presented. It stayed quiet even during feria week, though the walls are thin enough that we could hear the neighbours.

The room was tiny but clean, with its own bathroom. It's outside the centre, and the concierge wasn't friendly. There are some uncertain people around all the time near the casino bar next door.
