Mar de Fulles has a wonderful natural setting and the food is reliably delicious, with dishes that are carefully prepared. I was glad to find the service much better than when I visited nearly a year ago, though there’s still room to improve. The menu changes only a little, and I’d like to see more frequent updates or extra choices. The kitchen seems capable of offering more variety. The summer heat was intense during my restaurant visit. I asked for the air conditioning, and it was switched on at first, but I was told it would be turned off while we ate. That made the meal uncomfortable and seemed odd, perhaps because of the cost. More consistent attention to comfort and menu variety would improve the experience. Even so, I enjoyed my visit, thanks to the setting, food, and service that’s moving in the right direction.

The setting is beautiful, but the meal was a letdown. We’re vegan and had requested a vegan menu, yet I’ve had plenty of better vegan and vegetarian food elsewhere. It lacked both imagination and flavor.

The restaurant and hotel sit in a wild natural setting, and the sustainable boutique hotel is beautiful. The restaurant serves local food, and both the meal and service were top-notch. Chef Juan and all the staff were wonderful.

We enjoyed it so much that we had to come back. The food from the campo was delicious, beautifully presented, and the service and atmosphere were great too.
10/10
A gourmet five-course meal at a very low price, and the food was excellent. Definitely worth driving an hour or more for. I’d recommend it.
