Our room looked out over the beach, which was close enough for a quick morning swim, and the price was reasonable. Breakfast was good too. The hotel has a lovely art and culture feel, with Escher-like stairs, a cascade of falling spheres and marble sculptures that look as if they’ve been blown by the wind. It brought back the atmosphere of a refined holiday from about 30 years ago. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location was great, but the beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom was old and dingy, and the heater made far too much noise. The place definitely needs an upgrade. There’s erotic art everywhere, including nude sculptures and paintings, so it won’t suit you if you’re more conservative or don’t want to see that.

I ended up here after my airline arranged a stay because my flight was cancelled, so I hadn’t expected much. It turned out surprisingly well: good service, tasty restaurant food and a nice view from my room. The one letdown was that there was basically no Wi-Fi in the room. I’d recommend staying here in summer.

This is my second stay, and I’ve already booked another. The rooms look good, are quiet and comfortable, and the sea view is lovely. Everyone on staff was really nice and helpful. Thanks especially to Guillaume for such a kind, professional welcome.
