Camping El Garrofer

I decided not to stay here after learning about repeated break-ins at the secure bungalows. Reviews had mentioned six or more burglaries in the two weeks before my planned September 2025 visit, and the site’s management confirmed the incidents. I couldn’t see that meaningful steps had been taken to improve security. I told the property I no longer felt safe checking in. Even though I never used the accommodation, they refused a refund or any flexibility, and I paid the full amount. I wouldn’t recommend booking here if you’re carrying valuables or are concerned about security. Guest safety and the security of belongings don’t seem to be a priority.

The staff made the stay for us. Reception were lovely, knew how to get around by bus, and sorted a problem with our door within 20 minutes of us reporting it. The 24-hour security staff were friendly too. A big thank you to the reception team and the woman driving the minibus, who helped with our questions and made things easy. We were in a premium two-bedroom mobile home. It was spotless, with a well-equipped kitchen, a powerful shower, air-conditioning we needed, and a clean deck. The shop had enough for our first day, plus a good range of fresh pastries, bread, and hot drinks. The staff there were nice. We did the rest of our shopping at Mercadona, which was easy to reach without a car: the camp minibus goes into Sitges and collects from four different zones. We ate at both the restaurant and pizza place on site, as well as the restaurant at the other camp a short walk away. The meals were excellent, prices reasonable, and staff friendly. The saltwater pool was clean when we visited, had a lifeguard, and the main pool has slides. The camp is on the edge of Sitges, but close enough to get into town. A gate at the back leads toward Platja de les Anquines, a sandy beach by hotel ME Sitges Terramar, about a 15-minute walk away. The minibus also drops you near Sitges’s main beach. We got back a week ago and would definitely return with the rest of the family. Highly recommend HolaCamp Sitges Garrofer.

We couldn’t sleep properly, and the way the camp handled the noise made the whole stay miserable. On October 3, we were put beside a party of 25 people. The tent walls were very thin, and the tents close together, so we could hear everything from a group only a little over three metres away. We had been sent instructions saying quiet hours started at 22:00. When we went to find staff, they said they patrolled for noise, but nobody came. We went back at 23:00 and asked for help. Before speaking to the party ourselves, we’d already doubted staff would do much. The party told us they’d been told quiet time was midnight. We also heard staff say 23:00, while our own message gave both 22:00 and 23:00. We spent much of the night trying to make sense of the conflicting rules and deal with the situation ourselves. The party finally broke up at 1:00 a.m., then some of them returned at 4:30. By morning we learned the group had apparently been told to move near the main area at 2:00 a.m., and that the camp then called the police. Staff were inattentive and unhelpful throughout. They couldn’t move us and seemed able only to ask the party to quiet down. We felt we had to do their job, and the confusion spoiled the night for us and, it seems, for the party too. I asked for a refund the next morning and was quickly told the policy didn’t allow it, despite the camp seeming responsible for what happened. They denied responsibility, so I went as far as filing an official claim with the Catalan Consumer Agency. We’ll see whether, after 3-6 months, they’re made to accept fault and return the money for a service we didn’t receive. If you need a quiet stay or run into a reservation problem, I wouldn’t book here. They said they were committed to customer satisfaction, but in our case their actions felt focused on keeping our money. The camp may be fine if nothing goes wrong, but I don’t expect useful help when there’s an issue. I’d hoped to stay again, but won’t give more money to a camp that treated its guests this way. Other reviews describe similar noise problems, despite the camp saying it takes the policy seriously. In its response, the camp still wouldn’t admit fault or give me what I believe I’m owed. It offered a free night instead, seemingly hoping I’d drop the matter. I’d expect the same treatment if you have a problem during your stay.

The pool was great, though the water was really cold. Our lodge was fairly clean and worked well as a place to sleep. The restaurant food was good, and service was great. Staff at both the restaurant and shop were friendly and welcoming. The shop had a good range of basics.
