Eurostars Sitges

The location is right at the far end of Sitges, so getting around means hiring a car, taking a taxi, or using an e-bike. It does put you near nature walks and quiet beaches, and the views are great. Rooms were good and the hotel is well kept, though a few parts are starting to show their age. There are quite a few extra costs for the pool, spa, and room service, so the bill can climb quickly. They also don't explain on the website that the Eurostars member discount has to be charged to your room. The staff sorted out the discounts they'd missed for me, and were great about it. My room's hot water kept shifting between warm and cold, and staff couldn't fix it during my stay. They offered me a different room, but I chose to stay put because it was quiet and away from nearby residential construction noise. I also spotted several leaks from the roof in the corridors. In-person service was mostly good, but a request I made by phone to reception was forgotten. Online chat and email often took a long time too. If something needs doing, calling or going to the desk in person is the way to get it handled. One more thing, some staff were working while sick. One person sneezed over me while clearing my plates and was sneezing a lot. They shouldn't have been around guests or food.

The staff were friendly and professional, and the facilities were nice. We also had a really good spa experience, with massages from Esther and Dania. Thanks to both of you! The hotel is in Sitges and looks out over the Mediterranean Sea and the golf course. The area felt very safe, peaceful, and upscale, with lots of beautiful penthouses and villas around it.

My first stay here will definitely be my last. It didn't feel like a five-star experience at all. The walls and shower were dirty, and there was an exposed floor stopper in the middle of the hallway that I hurt my foot on. Paying €18 for the spa was disappointing too.

We were travelling as two adults with a baby, but housekeeping left us only two towels each day. I had to track down an extra one myself every day, and calling reception didn't help because our calls went unanswered several times, at different hours. The unclear communication around our half-board booking caused other hassles. Water at breakfast was free, but the same bottle cost €7 at dinner. We understand drinks might not be included, but nobody explained that at check-in or during the stay, and we weren't offered another option. On our last evening, the main restaurant where we'd eaten all week was closed. We were sent at the last minute to a different one, where a reservation was required and nobody had told us. It took talking to three staff members before we were accommodated. One morning, we also found that the jam at breakfast was expired. The people working there seemed willing to help, but the repeated problems point to weak organisation, management, and internal communication. We arrived with high expectations because of the five-star rating, and the stay didn't meet them. Better coordination and clearer, earlier information for guests could bring the experience closer to what the hotel promises.
