Galeon & Pavillon - Pavillon

We were in the older part of the building, in a ground-floor room with a courtyard. It was just right for relaxing while our one-year-old napped. The room was clean, and the location worked really well, a short walk from the beach and right among the shops and restaurants. The buffet was amazing, and we loved having a coffee machine in our building that was available around the clock. The service was great too. Roberto was especially helpful and accommodating with our baby’s needs, thank you! I’d have liked more plug sockets in the bedroom, including some by the beds for phone charging. We had a great stay and plan to come back.

Sitges city centre was a great base, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was simple but very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely, with pretty much anything you could think of. There was a nice mix of LGBTQ+ travellers and families, which gave the hotel a good atmosphere. I’d happily come back.

The breakfast was the richest I’ve ever had, and it’s served until noon. There’s a saltwater pool and whirlpool right in the city centre, plus pool towels to borrow and lemon water available all day. The building also has a lift. The hotel is only three stars, but the people were friendly everywhere, from reception to the restaurant and cleaning staff. We missed the coffee and tea served in the afternoon. For a central stay, ask for a room facing the street if you want to be in the middle of the action. We were on the first floor, and the street was busy day and night, as it’s the main route from the station to the beach. Our room had a king-size bed.

I’ve stayed here many times and expect I’ll return. It’s right in the centre, with a private swimming pool and Jacuzzi, wonderful staff and a great breakfast. The rooms and public spaces are spotlessly clean, but the bedrooms could use updating. Their facilities could be better too: the bedding and furnishings look worn, from the threadbare curtains to the tired bedspreads. I’d also appreciate bedside lamps. The choices now are a very bright fluorescent strip or spotlights shining into your eyes when you’re lying in bed. Even with those room issues, I had a great stay and expect to have many more.
