Room 4 was so quiet at night, and waking up to those mountain views was lovely. Martin and Pete have thought through every detail of the renovation. Definitely take a look at their before-and-after photo book. They’ve done a beautiful job. We spent five nights in the townhouse last month. Martin and Pete were warm and welcoming, but never intrusive, and the three-course breakfasts were delicious. I came home feeling completely refreshed, though I already miss breakfast and feel like redecorating. This is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We’ll be back, and if you’re thinking of booking, just do it.

We’d happily return if we’re in the area again, and would recommend this place to anyone. The hosts were wonderful, just as other reviews have said. Thanks, Pete & Martin, for your help and lovely hospitality. Our top-floor room had breathtaking views, and the modern rooms were beautifully presented with the amenities to match. Breakfast was something special and different, especially finishing with homemade cake. What an amazing find in such a beautiful town.

We didn’t feel welcome or respected here. I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never had to give one such a low rating. This was a uniquely negative experience. The rooms are nice, but I can’t recommend this b&b. We respected the couple’s privacy, treated them properly, and left the rooms spotless. Still, we repeatedly felt controlled, with no explanation of anything we’d supposedly done wrong. It’s strange to expect guests to tell the owner all their plans. If something bothers you, you should be able to say so and try to find a solution together, however unusual the issue may seem. The worst incident was when a previously announced photographer shifted a sofa slightly for a better shot. The owner, who seemed extremely sensitive and quick-tempered, lost his temper over it. He also showed very little empathy by stressing a bride on her way to church. He retaliated by harassing her just before she left, rather than handling the problem with basic maturity and manners. I feel sorry for him. There were other incidents too, though that was the most disturbing. Choose another hotel if you expect the service, respect, and level of care you’re paying for.

The homemade three-course breakfasts were probably the best I’ve had at any hotel, including plenty of five-star places. The townhouse has been restored beautifully, and the hosts made us feel very welcome. Soller is a lovely, quiet town, and we’ll be back for another short break.

The courtyard was such a relaxing place to spend time, with a pool at a perfect temperature and sunshine all day. It’s a small hotel with a lovely atmosphere, and only a short walk from Sóller town square. Martin and Pete were a joy to be around, and each morning brought a welcome three-course breakfast surprise. This really is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Five stars don’t quite cover it. Thanks for a fantastic stay in Sóller. I’m sure you haven’t seen the last of me!
