Hotel Finca Ca's Curial

We were really sad to leave, and I’d come back in a heartbeat. The property is absolutely stunning, set in an orange orchard with breathtaking views. It’s peaceful and feels completely immersed in nature. Our room was huge, brighter and cleaner smelling than the photos suggested, and not as dated. The staff we could find were lovely and helpful. Still, for the price and a 4 star rating, the service and facilities felt lacking. The hotel only serves breakfast, with no room service, lunch, or dinner except for a dinner that has to be booked. It felt substandard and detracted from the stay. There was barely anyone around: no receptionist at all times, and nobody at reception after 9, so we had to go looking for help. At 200 quid a night, I expected more. There’s no bar or tapas either, which felt odd since the food in soller is subpar. The breakfast was nice, but nothing special, and felt more like a hostel or B and B than a 4 star hotel. They could make better use of local food. The place also lacked the finesse I expected, with no feather pillows and a more traditional duvet setup of sheet, blanket, sheet. One small gripe: the bath was really hard to get out of, and I’m still fairly young, haha. Thanks for the amazing stay.

The garden is full of beautiful citrus trees, and being tucked among them means you’re away from road and town noise. We came back for a second stay because it’s so relaxing here. The room and surroundings were excellent, and breakfast was really good, with handmade local specialties and something new to try each morning.

From the moment we arrived, everyone treated us with such kindness. On our last night we asked whether there was a laundry room we could use, and they went out of their way to wash our clothes and return them folded. The service was wonderful, the people were the kindest, and the fresh breakfast was amazing every day. We loved, loved, loved staying here and can’t wait to return each year and tell our family and friends to come too!

The staff were courteous, friendly, and quick to help without hovering. Some days they serve dinner at the hotel; on other days, it’s a ten minute walk to the central square and its restaurants. We’re already planning another visit for the hotel and the attractive walking routes nearby. There are fourteen rooms set among lovely gardens and an orange orchard, where oranges are picked every day for the breakfast juice. Breakfast is generous and interesting, with much of it baked or prepared on site.
