Moana Eco Surf House - Hostel

The free breakfast was the best I've ever had, the yoga classes cost nothing, and the hammocks were great. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, though there isn't a laundry service. One thing they should organize better is the bed assignments. We were told to take any free bed, then at 1am a new person insisted she needed a lower bunk because reception had promised it to her. A guy ended up giving up his bed to keep the peace. Assigned beds would prevent this, and privacy curtains or outlets beside the beds would also help. Still an amazing hostel, and I'd go back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The surfing was super fun, and the location was incredible. The sunset was breathtaking, too. The staff were friendly, and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Our room was simple and clean, but the double bed was too small for a couple. We booked a double room expecting a bed for two. Everything else was great, and the price was good overall.

We booked at the last minute without much research, and this place turned out to be an amazing find. The beach is very close, and it's an easy walk into a cute town with parks and small shops. Reception staff were friendly, and our clean double room had a bunk bed and private bathroom, which worked well for a family. There was air conditioning if needed. The communal areas were cosy, and we enjoyed the underground skate park. Breakfast had a good selection in the cafeteria, where we also sat to eat our takeaway.

The floors are nice wood, but they make all kinds of noise around the clock, especially at night, so it's not somewhere to chill, sleep, and relax. If you're going to surf, bring your own gear, since the rental options are only soft tops. Breakfast and food were okay, nothing special. But okay.
