There’s a bar across the street with a good menu and reasonable prices, and more bars about a five-minute walk away. The main center, with loads of good restaurants and bars, is about a 20-minute walk. For us, the little hostal was perfect: twin beds, a clean, nicely presented room and shower room, plus on-street parking right outside that worked well for our motorbike.

The room was filthy, with foot and animal odors, and the bedspread and sheets were covered in hair. I have photos to prove it. There was no air conditioning, and the window left you exposed to anyone outside looking in. The room wasn’t hypoallergenic. The owner treated us appallingly. She wouldn’t refund anything, so we had to find our own way elsewhere. I’m pregnant, and there was no way I could spend the night in that dump. If you can, book somewhere else.
