The only issue for us was the cold room. We stayed over the May bank holiday weekend, and the heating wasn’t working then. The hotel is welcoming and tastefully decorated, in a lovely natural setting close to many attractions in Soria and the surrounding province. Our room was spacious, the beds comfortable, and both the cleanliness and service were impeccable.
We stayed four nights and were delighted with it. The two people who are usually at reception and serve breakfast gave fantastic service. Breakfast deserves a special mention too, especially the delicious freshly toasted bread. Thanks for being so welcoming. We’ll definitely come back.
The hotel is pleasant, and the staff are very friendly. But the manager acknowledges that minors can stay when he decides to allow it. On the weekend of the competition he mentioned, I saw teenagers and children running around downstairs at night. I was pregnant then, and seeing them made me think children were now allowed. Yet he refused to let me stay with my baby, while allowing children as young as six. There’s clearly unequal treatment of guests. The hotel description should say that children are allowed when it suits the manager. I won’t return because he denied me entry with my baby, while giving preference to foreign visitors who came for that event, when he could have gained regular customers instead. His admission policy and the way he applies it make no sense. He admits that minors do stay, and there were children around six there too. That’s fine, but a good manager treats guests equally, and that wasn’t my experience. This is my account, which I can prove, though he has already acknowledged it. Regards, and best of luck with the unequal management.
The hotel was cozy and quiet, the service very good, and breakfast fairly complete: juice, fruit, cold cuts, yogurt, toast, and coffee. The scenery is lovely, with lots of little villages around for exploring and getting away from the city. In the village itself there’s nothing but a bar. We left as soon as we went in because they only took card payments from €12, and we just wanted a couple of soft drinks. We missed having a vending machine for water and soft drinks, since there’s no shop nearby to buy them, and a mini fridge in the room for keeping drinks cold would’ve helped too. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms. We went in September, but in the middle of August, even if it cools off at night, it must get unbearably hot during the day.
We came hoping to find mushrooms, but there weren’t any because of the lack of rain. Even so, we had a wonderful stay. The room and bathroom were both very spacious, everything was exceptionally clean, and breakfast was fantastic, simple but complete. Maje was dedicated to her work and gave exceptional service.
