The rooms were spotless and more modern than the hotel's website makes them look. I even saw a cleaner wiping down the elevator buttons. It's very well placed for hiking, and the two gentlemen who work there were efficient and polite, though not very talkative. We had dinner included, and the set menu was always good and filling. Check in advance if you have particular dietary restrictions. Breakfast was standard Spanish fare, with cold cuts, bread and cereal, and you can order extra menu items for €5 more. For €7, the hikers' lunch package was totally worth it: bread, lots of ham, cheese and an apple. Wifi worked perfectly. Really good experience for a fair price.

Sotres, right in the heart of the Picos de Europa, is a beautiful spot for this modern but cozy hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Loved staying here. Sotres is tiny, so the location was perfect, and the staff were incredibly caring and helpful. We told them ahead of time that one of us was vegan and the other had celiac disease. The dinner they made was delicious, home cooked with so much care. Highly recommend.

The owner was friendly and charming, even with the language barrier. We had thoroughly enjoyable home cooked meals and clean, comfortable rooms, all in one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. Highly recommend!

The rooms are basic, but very clean and have everything you need. The hotel is in a quiet, excellent location in Sotres. If you take the half board option, dinner is a fixed menu of traditional home cooking, a good fit if you're hiking or cycling the next day. Breakfast was underwhelming, so I took off a star.
