The dorm was tiny, with a cheap single cot that barely felt like a mattress and two bunks. There was no air conditioning, even though it was 30 C at 8 at night, and the dirty toilet and shower were down the hall. They also had a “4 euro breakfast.” I paid 67 euros through booking.com for a non-refundable, cash-only stay at the desk, with no receipt. That was 12 euros more than a 4 star hotel in the same town. I left and found a hotel down the road for 40 euros a night, 27 euros less, and only a few euros more than I’d spent just to get out of this flea bag dump. It had air conditioning and a private bathroom. booking.com misrepresented the place with photos that didn’t match.

Talarn is a pretty village with spectacular views. We were a group of 20 and stayed one night at this very nice hostel. The rooms are spacious, and there’s a kitchen available. The owner was very friendly and helped us with whatever we needed.
