Hotel Tàrbena

Juan kept in touch to make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and the service was outstanding. The whole staff works hard to make the experience memorable. It was the most peaceful vacation I could have asked for, and the hospitality felt like more than five-star service. I highly recommend Hotel Tàrbena for a relaxing getaway.

Juan knew the walking routes well, and we enjoyed both the hike up to Sa Caseta des Moros on arrival day and a long circular walk around town. He was kind, attentive and full of information about the area. His dinners were delicious, showcasing regional specialties and seasonal ingredients, and breakfast was superb, with a full option including eggs, bacon and toast. Hotel Tarbena was a wonderful start to our walking holiday. It's right in the center of a quaint mountain town, with a small grocery store across the street. The hourly church bells, which ring again two minutes later, were the only downside. Good earplugs helped, and by the second night we barely noticed them.

I stayed with Juan on a walking holiday and would happily stay again. My corner room had amazing views in two directions. Juan knows the walking paths, cooks brilliantly, and serves lovely breakfasts. My vegetarian paella with chickpeas and spinach was outstanding. I also enjoyed meeting his dog.

The food was fantastic, with some amazing local dishes prepared by the manager, who's a talented chef. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and had excellent knowledge of the area to share.
